...no one looks at their plate and says, "What IS that?"
...no one asks for salt or ketchup, just to "flavor it up a little."
...no one says, "Oh yeah, I make this all the time."
...no one whips out a cell phone and checks for messages.
...no one talks about what a good cook the other daughter-in-law is.
...you can talk about politics without getting into an argument.
...every plate is cleaned, even by the one on a new diet.
...everyone is eager for your dessert.
...no one compares your bread pudding to theirs.
...they eat every bite of dessert, too.
...no one wants to leave the table.
I'm thankful to say that our Saturday night dinner with the in-laws was a good one.
